Acetal rod is a tough thermoplastic with properties particularly suited to some woodturning applications:
Resistant to CA adhesives - great for making you own pen bushings to apply CA finish
Tough - strong enough to be machined and turned yet ideal for making pen press parts on the lathe as it won't damage the plated components
Easy to cut - by hand or on a bandsaw and can be easily drilled so ideal for making spacers and washers
Many turners currently use HDPE however this material lacks the inherent strength of acetal rod so gets marked by pen components and is not really suitable for spacers / washers as it can be compressed slightly.
Our code for this product is ACE because that's exactly what it is!
SIZE: 20mmØ L=145mm - plenty for many sets of bushings
