I found the bushings were adequate for softer woods etc. For some harder woods I have turned the extra larger end bushing so I can turn between centres. This is to prevent the run out caused on a mandrel.

The bushes used in conjunction with a pen mandrel made turning the blanks to the correct diameters easier.The excellent Keats assembly instructions from the Prokraft website were clear and easy to follow producing a high quality pen.
